With a wealth of attractions, accommodations and entertainment options, it
is easy to see why Fayetteville has long served as a hub for discovering northwest
Arkansas. Although Fayetteville is best known as the home of the University
of Arkansas and Razorbacks Athletics, the city has much more to offer than live
sporting events. The Ozark Mountains are located just outside of the city, supplying
the scenery and terrain for hiking, mountain biking and plenty of other outdoor
activities. Fayetteville's premier arts and entertainment district is Dickson
Street, where visitors find an eclectic mix of boutiques, restaurants, galleries,

Arts Center, which hosts a year-round schedule of symphony performances, theater
shows, art exhibits and pop concerts. Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park,
one of America's most intact Civil War battlefields, is located just southwest
